How to be Calm and Peaceful Without Much Effort.

You might have seen them with me. I love them.

They are always with me. I might forget my phone, but rarely these.

“What the hell are you talking about?” I hear you ask.

My notebooks.

For about 20 years now, I always carry a notebook with me. Not a digital notebook but one made of dead trees.

In it, I write and write and write.

Each morning, I write down how I want to live that day. I scribble down many of my thoughts (as many as I can).

I write lists of things to do, ideas and priorities.

But, from these pages have come a lot of good too. My first two books started as ideas scribbled down in my notebook.

So, too, my third book (that will be available as a digital download next week).

Years ago, I tried to write this book. I didn’t get very far. I wrote a draft of it and used to give it away for free to people who attended my workshops.

In reality, I didn’t have the experience needed to bring it fully to life.

So, why now?

I was speaking at an event for the magazine Positive Lives. The host Paul, asked me on stage: “is helping people feel calm your niche?”

The question threw me a little, but after a moment, I said:

”Yes, it probably is.”

The title of my new digital book is “How to be Calm and Peaceful Without Much Effort.”

It’s for people who feel overwhelmed. For people who feel frantic and afraid. It’s for people who are stressed and anxious.

The purpose of the book is to help us find a sense of peace and calm in a hectic world.

This is what I learnt over the years:

We can know the ways of breathing that help us feel calm (long exhales).

We can even practise them.

And understand why they work (the vagus nerve).

We can even teach them to others.

But, it’s still hard to actually find the peace in the moment.

That takes something else.

We need to go a little deeper.

We need to get to a place where we understand it, use it and it has become part of our lives.

The book explains how stress, and modern triggers, keep us stuck in survival mode. It offers simple, effective breathing practices to reset the nervous system.

With real-life examples, daily integration tips and a “calm score” tracker, it empowers us to move from chaos to peace, one breath at a time.

The book will be available as a digital download at the end of next week.

I have created a waiting list for it.

People on the waiting list will be the first to know when it’s available. And they’ll also get a discount

So, if you’re interested, please join the mailing list.

I will continue to scribble in my notebooks.

I really enjoy it.

And I hope that you enjoy what some of those scribbles have become.
